Wow! It became fall overnight it seems. I can’t believe how in the matter of a week the temperatures went from sunny and 80 to rainy and 60. I guess it’s really fall now.

Now it’s time for hayrides and haunted houses.
I saw Rich’s Farms getting ready last week with all of their eerie red lights on the big house. And I know Allen’s Haunted Hayrides is now entering its 30th year in business.
But, if you scare too easily, then I suppose now would be a good time to hunker down and get on the Internet.
“Why?” you ask. Well, heraldstandard.com now has a Facebook page. Yes, we have really gone global on the Internet, and we want you to be our friend. Just log on to www.facebook.com/heraldstandard and put in your friend request. We are already gathering a nice following, and just so you know, what you see on the regular heraldstandard.com Web site will not be the same content you see on our Facebook page. Be our friend and be in the know of the latest and greatest of what’s going on in the area.
And, I don’t know if you remember or not, but SpinIt also has a Facebook page that I will be revamping over the next week or so. I’ll make sure to keep you informed when that will happen. We’ll also be unveiling the new SpinIt site shortly, and I couldn’t be more excited.
You’ll be able to play games like Mah Jong, Bejeweled and Scrabble Blast, and there also will be more celebrity news.
We also have our new online calendar of events on heraldstandard.com. It’s a wonderfully detailed calendar, and an added bonus is that you’ll be able to add your own events. So make sure you take a look and start putting in your band or organizations events.
